Assumed knowledge For applicants selecting teaching areas in the Bachelor of Education Secondary, the following assumed knowledge is recommended: English - a C-grade or better in the South Australian Certificate of Education or equivalent. LOTE - a C-grade in Languages to Year 12 in the South Australian Certificate of Education or equivalent. Mathematics - a C-grade in Mathematical Methods in the South Australian Certificate of Education or equivalent. Music - Year 12 Solo Performance or AMEB Practical Grade 6; and Year 12 Musicianship or AMEB Grade 5 Theory. Science - a C-grade in Year 12 studies in either Earth & Environmental Science and/or Biology and/or Chemistry and/or Physics in the South Australian Certificate of Education or equivalent.
