All India Senior School Certificate (10+2) or equivalent with 70% in 4 academic subjects

Hold a New Zealand Diploma of Teaching (ECE); hold a current practising certificate; have been in employment in an early childhood teaching role for at least three of the last five years; be employed in a licensed early childhood centre either part-time or full-time for at least twelve hours per week; have a letter of support from current employer. The July 2025 intake is only open to applicants pathwaying from the New Zealand Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (Field-based) (Level 5). If you are a new applicant apply for Feb intake or to consider the New Zealand Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (Field-based) (Level 5) instead. If you successfully complete this diploma, you will be eligible under specified criteria to pathway into the second year of the bachelor's degree. PTE Academic: Overall score of 69 with 61 in Listening, 62 in Reading, 73 in Writing and 79 in Speaking. TOEFL iBT (Internet Based TOEFL): Overall score of 98 and the following scores in each module: Listening - 24; Reading - 24; Writing - 27; Speaking – 23.
